AJC is an independent, faith-based school providing full tuition scholarships to 4th-8th grade students of limited resources in Richmond’s East End.
CITY OF RICHMOND - OFFICE OF COMMUNITY WEALTH BUILDING
Born out of the Mayor’s Anti-Poverty Commission, the OCWB has three primary goals; increase living-wage employment by Richmond Residents, support youth and families from early childhood to young adulthood to develop their capacities to the fullest and facilitate upward social mobility, and, improve the quality-of-life in low income communities through housing policy.

Communities In Schools is a national program that positions site coordinators inside schools to assess students’ needs and provide resources to help them succeed in the classroom and in life. Their mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
CHALLENGE DISCOVERY PROJECTS
CDP provides direct services to over 1,600 at-risk youth in Richmond. They are committed to improving the emotional health and well being of children and their families through programs that promote self-worth and positive, healthy relationships.
ACTS provides funds, support, and other resources to our neighbors in financial crisis, helping them to live sustainable, self-sufficient, and dignified lives.
ARMSTRONG PRIORITIES LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
A community-based non-profit working in Armstrong High School to increase graduation rates and demonstrate that additional resources properly applied can make a significant difference for our children.
CAROL ADAMS FOUNDATION
CAF provides emergency assistance to women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Through the foundation, women and children will have a temporary safety net which will enable them to live violence-free and have the opportunity to become self-sufficient.
PETER PAUL DEVELOPMENT CENTER
PPDC support the residents of the East End and educate its students, equipping them to serve as positive contributors to their family, community, and society. Educate the Child, Engage the Family, Empower the Community.

Urban Hope is a faith-based affordable housing nonprofit that is focused on the East End of Richmond. We help our clients gain financial management skills, provide safe, quality, affordable housing, and walk alongside clients looking to begin the pathway to homeownership.
