Support Us

There are three primary ways you can support our work. The first is our Good Neighbor Network which provides diverse opportunities for volunteer roles. We also seek local employers who can provide career opportunities to our members. And, of course, we are always interested in your generous donations to help support us in our mission.

Making a Donation

Please consider joining us to help empower East End residents break out of the poverty cycle. Your contribution will help underemployed East End Richmond families find pathways to meaningful employment and long-term sustaining careers.

Transportation is a major necessity of successful employment. ReWork’s Car-Care program is helping to solve the problem of having available transportation, to and from the Member’s place of work. Donating your vehicle is simple and can change someone’s life. ReWork will help you determine the value of your car, check your vehicle for road worthiness and transfer the vehicle title. We will even help you apply for the tax deduction. For more information, contact Mark Murphy at markmurphydmm@gmail.com or 203-249-2164.

Good Neighbor Volunteers

ReWork Richmond is looking for Good Neighbors!

Part of what sets ReWork apart from other workforce initiatives is the meaningful engagement from faith communities across Richmond. ReWork depends on the volunteer support from our Good Neighbors to provide their gifts of connection, and talents to help form pathways to family sustaining employment for our Members.

This is not your typical volunteer experience. If and when you join the Good Neighbor Network, our hope as an organization is to always begin with listening to our Members, recognizing our shared humanity. When it comes to employment, the types of support we will ask of our Good Neighbors will be a response to what we’ve heard families in the East End need to get to a meaningful career. Check out our Good Neighbor Network and find a role that fits you — we seek drivers, job connectors, career coaches, financial coaches, essential skills facilitators, childcare, hosts, coordinators and companions.

Employer Opportunities

ReWork Richmond engages with employer partners who desire hardworking employees and provide an equitable employment environment for career pathways. Our Members face many systemic and structural barriers out of poverty as they strive for economic and social mobility. We partner with employers who appreciate the magnitude of these challenges and are willing to work through them with us. In exchange, we introduce our employer partners to job candidates with a demonstrated work ethic, aptitude, stability, and support to overcome the challenges that can quickly impact an individual’s job performance.
